National Polar Science Program and Workshops
The National Polar Science Program, prepared within the scope of the Antarctic Scientific Research and Research Base Project carried out under the auspices of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye and coordinated by the Ministry of Industry and Technology, entered into force in December 2017.
Within this framework, the "National Polar Sciences Workshop" is organized annually to evaluate the projects and studies of Turkish scientists in polar research, discuss the outcomes of scientific expeditions, and determine priority research areas.
3rd National Polar Sciences Workshop (METU)
The workshop, hosted by our University on 5–6 September 2019, brought together 203 researchers from 64 different institutions.
