Two Major Horizon Europe Successes for METU
Dear Researchers,
We are delighted to share two remarkable achievements that reflect the excellence and dedication of our university community under the Horizon Europe Programme.
REACtOE
Our institutional transformation project, submitted as the consortium coordinator, has been selected for funding. Achieving a full score in a highly competitive call with an approximate success rate of 5.6%, the project ranked 2nd in Europe.
REACtOE will significantly strengthen our university's research capacity and further enhance METU's position in future European Universities Alliances.
FAroGels
Our project submitted under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Doctoral Networks call has also been awarded funding. Collaboration will be established with leading research institutions across Europe, and a total of 15 doctoral researchers will be recruited, two of whom will pursue their doctoral studies at METU.
FAroGels holds special significance as it represents the first MSCA Doctoral Network consortium coordinated in Türkiye under the Horizon Europe Programme.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to our Research Coordinator, Food Engineering Department faculty member and Advisor to the President, Prof. Dr. Mecit Halil Öztop, and his entire team on these outstanding accomplishments. These successes are a testament to the dedication, vision, and collaborative spirit that our researchers bring to their work every day. We wish Prof. Dr. Öztop and his team continued success as they carry these projects forward.
